Soirée School Guide 2026: Little Rock School District

Mission Statement

The LRSD mission is student success achieved by empowered, supported and inspired teaching; engaged and barrier-free partnerships with families; and well-earned community trust.

Schools by the Numbers

  • Five early childhood centers for pre-K (1 center for ages 6 weeks – 4 years)
  • 21 elementary schools (8 with pre-K sites)
  • 3 K-8 Academies
  • 5 middle schools
  • 4 high schools
  • 4 non-traditional schools

Exciting Projects

New additions that include a science wing and field house at Little Rock Central High, have joined Dr. Marian G. Lacey K-8 Academy as the latest state-of-the-art facilities in LRSD’s fleet, with Pinnacle View High School coming in 2027. The stage is also set for transformation at Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School with a full-scale renovation of the theater/auditorium slated to reopen this spring.

Technology

Forest Heights STEM Academy has an intense focus on technology for students K-8, and several LRSD campuses have EAST labs, which afford hands-on learning with many forms of technology. LRSD offers a seamless continuum of learning from pre-K through high school where students experience award-winning robotics and coding programs and engaging, real-world learning. With cutting-edge opportunities in cybersecurity, health care and technology, LRSD prepares students to excel in college and compete in a global workforce.

Programs

In 2025, the Little Rock School District became the first public school system in Pulaski County to offer students the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree through its dual credit program. With a thriving career and technical education program that offers multiple pathways — including the new licensed practical nursing partnership with Baptist Health College, set to graduate its first cohort in June 2026 — LRSD is leading the way in preparing students for college, career and life.
