Tradition of Service

School History
Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1851 at the request of Arkansas’ first Catholic bishop, Mount St. Mary Academy is the oldest continuously operated school in the state and adheres to the Sisters’ belief that “nothing can be more productive of good to society than the careful instruction of women.”
